Easter Wreath

I finally got around to making my fru-fru Easter wreath. It took me all of 20 minutes to make.

Here is what you need:

1 straw wreath with wrapping still intact

1 feather boa

1 package plastic easter eggs

U-shaped floral picks

Take the feather boa and attach all the way around the wreath. I did it in a zig zag pattern so that it would appear more full. Then I opened the plastic eggs and punched 2 holes in them with my crop-a-dile. I put the picks through and into the wreath and then snap closed the egg. How easy was that?!?! Let me know what you think!

Ask Anna- optional chore

Photobucket

Today was an optional day at Ask Anna's Spring Cleaning blog. It was a beautiful day here in Arkansas, so I decided to take the challenge. Today we were to wash our plants. Although I didn't make it to all of them in my house, I chose the nastiest, largest ones....my trees.

I took them outside and hosed them down.

Let dry.

Turn them over.

Hose them down again.

I am going to clean out the corners they were in really well before I bring them back inside. This is something that I have been putting off for a long time....so glad I took the challenge!

Ask Anna- Task #2

Photobucket

Today's Spring Cleaning task was to clean ceiling fans, entertainment centers and bookshelves.

First....ceiling fans. Oh my!!! First of all, my ceilings are very tall. I am not. So the living room will have to wait until my hubby comes home and can get me a ladder. This is a picture of the one in my bedroom. Our bedroom is the dustiest room in the house....so it was bad! Here is the before...

And here is the after!!

I also need to take down the glass globes and run them through the dishwasher...but that is for another day. Are you ready for this? I wasn't!!! This is also in our bedroom. I am embarassed to even show it. But we are all in this together right? Please tell me you have a corner like this in your house!! And this is the after. No dust....but the scratches are still there. I will have to get some stain to touch that up. But again...that is for another day!

We decided that one day we would give them each a package of peanuts with a tag...

Feel free to print off your very own here...

Spring Cleaning Day 1

Photobucket
Today I started my Spring Cleaning with Anna. Actually I was supposed to start yesterday, but didn't realize it. Sorry! Anyway, today was my day to tackle curtains and blinds. I use a soft sock with Basic-H (Shaklee) and water to wash the blinds. It works great! So easy to slide in the small spaces.

I had to get a picture of the dirt that came off....YUCK!!!!

And they are CLEAN!!! It is SO nice!
While I was cleaning the blinds I washed and dried the curtains. I washed them in cold on delicate and then dried them on delicate until they were barely damp. I hung them immediately a) so the would finish drying and b)so I wouldn't have to iron them!

It is not too late to join our cleaning party! Can't wait to see what she has in store for us tomorrow!
