Not Enough Time

I still have not been able to do my sketch challenge! I am running on empty again this week. Has anyone been able to do this challenge?

Any cool suggestions about getting your house organized, or am I the only one who struggles with this?

A Quick Bo Bunny Card

My pic didn't turn out too great, but here is a card that I made with the Delilah line from Bo Bunny. The tree stamp is from the $1 bin at Michael's. I used pixie pink on the leaves and pumpkin pie for the rock-n-roll technique. I used my choc chip Stamp-n-write for the trunk. I put tiny brown and orange bling in the tree.

Happy Stamping!!

Trial and Error

This was a design that I saw on another blogger's site. (http://www.inkingidaho.blogspot.com/) I love the acetate half circle so that you can see through to the back of the card. So this is my humble first attempt at it. I am pleased with it until you open the card (which is why I didn't take a pic of the inside) and I stamped "Miss You". I had the wrong color ink, it smudged, yadda yadda. So....I will have to find a way to fix the wording. Other than that...I love it!

I used Bo Bunny rub-ons (Delilah) and the brown paper. I cut the front of the card plus another 4.25 x 5.5 piece of pink with the Creative Memories circle cutter. I adhered a piece of acetate (transparency) to the front of the card, then I added the extra pink piece behind the acetate. The tree rub on is on the inside of the card, while the owl is on the front of the acetate so when you open the card, the owl is gone! (This was Beth's idea....ty!)

So give this new technique a try and send me a pic...we all want to see!!! (RDawnB@cebridge.net)

RAK from Elizabeth Kohler

Is this not the cutest?!?!? I just love it. Beth did an excellent job with the details. You can't see it in the pic but the little wings on the bees have dazzling diamonds on them! She also embossed each bee which just adds that much more. Thanks for sharing, Beth....you are awesome!!!

This weeks sketch challenge....

Ok...are you ready for a challenge? Join with me each week to see what you can come up with! This is a challenge from Splitcoast. I am a little sad that summer is over, so I decided to make a "summery" card with this sketch. I made my card to be horizontal because I liked the words to be readable.

So here are the dimensions: Card size is A2 (4.25 x 5.5), Layer 1 is 4 x 5 1/4, Layer #2 is 1 1/16 x 4 (mat is 1 5/16 x 4), Layer #3 is 1 3/8 x 5 1/4 (mat is 1 5/8 x 5 1/4), Layer #4 is 2 x 3 1/4 (mat is 2 1/4 x 3 1/2), Layer #5 is 1 3/4 x 2 3/4 (mat is 2 x 3).

There ya go! E-mail me your finished card and I will post it!!

Milk Box Container

I have had several comments on the milk box container that is seen in Olivia's First Day of School photo. Yes, I did make those, one for each teacher. Unfortunately I didn't take a pic of them before I had to send them! I put a pair of socks (teacher), free coffee pass, chocolates and little pencils in each of the cartons.
I also recently made some for Halloween, that I am sharing. I used Stampin' Up products to make these. (Old Olive, pumpkin pie, black, perfect plum and Cast-a-Spell papers. Batty For You Stamp set and circle, large oval and scalloped punches.)
I got the instructions from Inking Idaho. Her site is AWESOME and she has wonderful, easy to follow tutorials. You can find this tutorial here: http://www.inkingidaho-tutorials.blogspot.com/. Thanks for looking!!

First Days of School

We have made it through the first day of school! Yea!!! Parker and Olivia seem to be liking it so far. Olivia has been cracking me up! She has a spanish speaking student in her class this year. Today she came home and told me that she heard the Japanese girl talk today! She also told me that Mrs. Moses put her in charge of keeping the Japanese girl (who happens to speak Spanish) from running away when they were walking down the halls. This should be a year full of funny stories with her!
