So here is Olivia's card before the treat is added....
and here is the final result. She got so many comments on them....everyone loved it!
Here is Parker's before...
And with the candy.
What kind of cards have you made lately?

Sweet Notes of Love

Here is my card from my daughter. She is our crafty child and loves to make cards. (Have no idea where she gets that from!)
Here is the inside. I LOVE when she misspells things. I know. I am bad. But I just think it is so stinkin' cute! So, to all of you who don't have small kids learning to write I will interpret for you...Mom, I love you and Happy Valentine's Day. I hope it (is) the best. Love, Olivia

Here is Daddy's card...

and the interpretation...Dad, You are special to me. Love, Olivia
We will cherish these forever!!

Valentine's Decor

I HEART Valentine's Day!! I love the colors, what it stands for and most of all getting sweet notes from my kiddos!

This year I actually did some decorating for it. My BFF and I made these cute felt hearts. They were so easy and turned out really cute!!

Behind the felt heart is a needlepoint picture that my Granny did for me when I was little. I still cherish it! It simply says "I love you".

This shelf is in the hall when you come in from my garage door. I always keep our names in the frames on the shelf above our hooks. I really wanted to change them to pink and red, but I never got a chance.

The large frame was also my grandmother's and was a shiny gold color. Nothing a can of black spray paint couldn't help. The picture itself was from http://www.eighteen25.com/. My BFF sent it to Sam's to be printed since it was 16x20. I LOVE IT!!!

The L-O-V-E picture is one that I made by finding some pictures on the internet, cutting them apart and repositioning them to fit the frame that I had. You can't tell but the pictures are sprinkles with the letters "drawn" into them.

The last piece on my shelf is the candle. I went to our local Goodwill and found a glass container, put a white candle in it and poured candy hearts around it.

So here is the final product. I am thrilled with how it turned out!

More layouts....I am on a roll!!

This page is of Parker's 9th birthday party at his Nana's. He is a football fanatic!! He loves the Razorbacks so she had a cake made for him with a HOG on it! Love it!!
This page is of the "Grandma Gathering" that we had before Christmas. All of the grandmothers came for dinner, we made a gingerbread house and then we went to look at Christmas lights. We had so much fun and made lasting memories!

My New Obsession

I am officially obsessed with digital layouts. I bought the Creative Memories software about 2 years ago and dabbled with it just a bit but never really did anything with it. For Christmas I received Photoshop Elements 8. I REALLY wanted to use it! But I am not very wise in the ways of computer technology. I was so frustrated that I was almost in tears. I frequent the blog "My Computer is My Canvas" and LOVE her stuff! She actually has tutorials on her blog as well. So I was reading on how to do it and she recommended www.justsoscrappytoo.com to get digital kits. Let me tell you....the site is awesome! I first started out with some free kits to see if I could do it. Loved it. So I bought a few more kits. Get this. $1.50 for a kit! Wow!!
So enough of my babbling. Let's get on to my projects! This was the first one that I attempted...loved this kit! I really love the light blue, green and brown combo!
I got a little more brave with Parker's adding the extra paper layer.

And finally the cupcake one. Still seems like something is just not right, but I can't put my finger on it. I will have to look at it for a while and maybe tweek it a little later.
Thanks for letting me share!
